1. Who we are
This website (rautingtech.com and rautingtech.ca) and the services described on it are operated by RautingTech Inc. ("RautingTech", "we", "us"), a corporation registered in Canada with its principal place of business in Toronto, Ontario. We comply with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy law.

2. What we collect
Information you give us
- Contact form and email — your name, email address, and the message you send when you reach out.
- Interactive demo input — questions you type into the live demos and the site assistant.
Information collected automatically
- Usage analytics — pages viewed, time on page, referrer, browser type, screen size, a pseudonymous visitor identifier stored in your browser, and a one-way hashed (not stored in raw form) IP address. We use this to understand how the site is used and to detect abuse.
3. How interactive AI features handle your input
Questions you submit to our live demos and site assistant are processed by our AI systems, which run on vetted third-party cloud and AI infrastructure providers located in Canada and the United States. Inputs may be logged for quality assurance, abuse prevention, and service improvement. They are not used to train AI models. Please don't submit confidential or sensitive personal information through a demo.
4. Platform data, including LinkedIn
We manage professional social-media presences — our own and, under contract, our clients' — using the platforms' official APIs, including LinkedIn's. When we do:
- We access only the data those APIs make available to an authorized page administrator: page content, posts, comments, reactions, and aggregate engagement analytics.
- We use that data solely to create, schedule, and manage content, respond to engagement, and measure performance for the page it belongs to. We do not sell platform data, use it for advertising targeting, or combine it across unrelated clients.
- We retain platform data only as long as needed for those purposes, and we delete it when the authorizing account disconnects our access, when a client engagement ends, or when the platform requires deletion — whichever comes first.
- Our use of LinkedIn data is governed by the LinkedIn API Terms of Use. If you are a LinkedIn member and want data we may hold about your interaction with a page we manage deleted, email info@rautingtech.ca — we honour verified deletion requests within 30 days.
5. Cookies and local storage
We do not use third-party advertising cookies. We store a pseudonymous visitor identifier in your browser's local storage to make our own analytics coherent across visits. Clearing your browser storage removes it.
6. How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with:
- Service providers that host our infrastructure, deliver our email, and provide the AI processing described above — each bound to use it only to provide their service to us;
- Authorities, where required by law.
Some service providers process data in the United States; where they do, the data is subject to the laws of that jurisdiction.
7. Retention
Contact submissions and correspondence are kept for as long as needed to serve the relationship and meet legal obligations. Analytics events are kept in identifiable (pseudonymous) form for no longer than 24 months. Demo input logs are kept for no longer than 12 months. Platform data follows the schedule in section 4.
8. Security
All traffic to and from this site is encrypted in transit (TLS). Stored data lives on access-controlled infrastructure with least-privilege credentials, and administrative access is limited to authorized personnel. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we design for defence in depth and we review access regularly.
9. Your rights
Under PIPEDA you may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, withdraw consent to its use, or ask us to delete it. Write to info@rautingtech.ca with "Privacy request" in the subject line; we respond within 30 days. If you're unsatisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
10. Children
Our site and services are directed at businesses and are not intended for individuals under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
11. Changes to this policy
When we change this policy we update the effective date above. Material changes will be noted prominently on this page.
